Overview

Reliable work by registered cablers

Whether it is one extra outlet in a Queenslander or a full structured cabling install for an office fit-out, we plan the route, run and terminate the cable, label both ends and test every outlet. Coverage spans greater Brisbane from the CBD to the outer suburbs.

Common reasons customers call

  • New build, renovation or office fit-out
  • Extra data points for a study, media wall or access point
  • Commercial network cabling with a labelled patch panel
  • Replacing old or failing cabling
  • Tidying up a messy communications cabinet

How Brisbane building stock shapes a cabling job

Pre-war Queenslanders, post-war brick-and-tile, apartment towers and commercial tenancies all cable differently — planning the route is most of the work.

In the inner suburbs, timber Queenslanders and workers' cottages usually give us underfloor or roof-space access, so extra Cat6 points to a study, media wall or upstairs room can normally be run without surface conduit. Post-war brick-and-tile homes through Chermside, Carindale and Wynnum tend to be slab-on-ground with tight cavities, so the realistic route often runs through the roof and down a wardrobe or cupboard wall. We confirm the route on the site check rather than after the job starts.

Commercial work across the CBD, Fortitude Valley and the suburban business precincts is mostly structured commercial network cabling for offices and retail — desk outlets and floor boxes back to a labelled patch panel, cabling for cameras and access points, and a comms cabinet with room left to grow. In multi-storey tenancies, risers and building access usually need approval from the building manager, which we raise before quoting.

Where a site spans more than one building, or a riser needs a high-bandwidth backbone, we use fibre optic installation, splicing and OTDR testing for the link and copper inside each building.

FAQ

Common questions

Which Brisbane suburbs do you cover?+

We work across greater Brisbane, from the CBD and inner suburbs such as New Farm, West End and Toowong out to Chermside, Carindale, Indooroopilly and Wynnum. Call us with your address if you would like it confirmed before booking.

Does a Queenslander cost more to cable than a brick-and-tile home?+

Usually the opposite. A raised Queenslander gives us underfloor access, which often makes runs quicker. Slab-on-ground double-brick homes are the harder case because the practical route is normally through the roof space and down an internal wall or cupboard.

Can you do commercial network cabling for an office fit-out?+

Yes. Office, clinic and retail cabling is regular work — desk outlets, floor boxes, a labelled patch panel in the comms cabinet and cabling for access points and cameras. The best time to book is once desk positions and the cabinet location are confirmed.

Can you work after hours in a tenanted building?+

Yes. Cabling, cabinet rework and relocations in occupied premises are often better done outside trading hours. Tell us your access window when you enquire and we will quote to suit it.

Do you provide test results for commercial cabling?+

Every point is tested at the outlet as standard. Where a commercial job requires certified test results as documentation, we can provide them on request.
