Solid brick, the range climate and why routes need planning

Toowoomba's older housing stock includes a lot of solid brick and masonry construction, which behaves very differently from the timber-framed cavity walls common closer to the coast. Cables cannot simply be fished down a wall, and wireless signal is attenuated far more heavily between rooms.
