What we take on as a Brisbane telecommunications contractor

Most enquiries fall into one of four jobs. The first is data cabling in Brisbane — Cat6 and Cat6A outlets, floor boxes, patch panels and communications cabinets for new builds, renovations and office fit-outs. The second is fibre optic installation and splicing, used for building-to-building links, risers between floors and backbones where copper cannot reach.
The third is network and wireless hardware: business networking for offices, retail, medical and commercial premises and commercial Wi-Fi installation with wired backhaul, sized to the building rather than guessed. The fourth is remedial work — fault finding and repairs on internet, phone and network faults, and NBN equipment relocations when the connection point is in the wrong place.
What we do not do is sell you an internet plan. We are not a carrier or a retail service provider — if a fault sits on the carrier's side of the network we document what we found so you can pass it to your provider. Everything from your wall outlet inwards is ours.

What does a telecommunications contractor actually do?+
The customer-side work between the carrier's network and your equipment: data and voice cabling, coaxial, fibre links, communications cabinets, network and Wi-Fi hardware installation, NBN equipment relocations, and diagnosing faults on existing cabling.
Are you registered to do cabling work?+
Yes. Customer cabling in Australia must be performed or supervised by a registered cabler, and our work is carried out on that basis. You can read more on our registered cablers page.
Do you work for businesses as well as homes?+
Both. Residential work is mostly extra data points, home networking and NBN relocations. Business work is structured cabling, comms cabinets, access points and office relocations or fit-outs.
Do you undertake specialised underground customer cabling?+
We provide physical trench and conduit preparation where that is agreed in the project scope. We do not undertake specialised underground customer cabling unless it is performed or directly supervised by a cabler holding the appropriate competency.
Can you work alongside our existing IT provider?+
Yes. We handle the cabling and physical layer and coordinate with your IT provider or network vendor for switches, firewalls and configuration.
